There’s no mincing of words by Zolani Mahola when talking about one of the biggest financial mistakes she made in her music career is not actually seeing herself as a business nor seeing the value she had as a brand.
As the lead singer of Freshlyground, Zolani was the face of a world-renowned image. She did not fully realise that she had to take ownership of her image in the business aspect in order to secure her future. She left her business needs at the hands of others without paying full attention to how her brand “Zolani Mahola” was being utilised.
